Acknowledgement of Country

CommShare respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which our school-based programs take place across South Australia. We honour the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains, as well as other Aboriginal nations where our young people live, learn, and connect.

We recognise and respect their deep spiritual relationship with Country and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. We acknowledge the enduring strength and knowledge of Aboriginal communities, and the valuable contributions of Aboriginal children, families, educators, and leaders in shaping more inclusive, connected, and thriving school communities.

As a youth-led wellbeing initiative, CommShare is committed to fostering spaces where Aboriginal voices, stories, and leadership are celebrated and central—so that all children can grow up proud of who they are and the land they walk on.

Note: CommShare uses the term ‘Aboriginal’ in line with South Australian preference, to respectfully refer to all people who identify as Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, or both.
